Book: CDO (Chief Daddy Officer)

What happens when you apply business best practices to your parenting?

That's what happened when businessman Chris Efessiou's marriage ended, and he was left to raise a seven-year-old daughter on his own. With no manual, Chris stuck with what he knew and discovered that the same skills he used to be successful as a business leader,  transferred to parenting.  (And after that, he naturally wrote a book about it!  CDO- Chief Daddy Officer)

It of course makes perfect sense that the principles of team unity; communication, and productivity, all valued in the business world, are also values that can help families and households run smoothly and efficiently.  And many family problems/issues around inspiring creativity, good ethics, problem-solving, and competition also need to be solved in business.

This book gives some good advice to raising your kids, and may even increase your bottom line when it comes to your family. Just be careful not to go too far with the business paradigm, or before you know it, you'll be spinning off your kids, IPOing the family dog, and offshoring their jobs to India.  (and let's not even think about all of the merger and acquisition headaches!)
