Pi Day Specials 2016: Chicago

Tomorrow is PI day, the day which closely approximates the mathematical constant π.

The ChicagoTribune has some great Pi Day specials listed for this year:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/dining/ct-pie-pi-day-specials-discounts-story.html

Probably my favorite one is Blaze Pizza, selling Build Your Own Pies for $3.14.

We already are big fans of Blaze, so this is a no-brainer!

Blaze also have (for extra charge) gluten free pizza pies, and vegetarian cheese, for those who are lactose intolerant.

If you are in the mood for more traditional (or perhaps less traditional) pies,  other places mentioned in the article that will celebrate this mathematical moment include Shake Shack, Magnolia Bakery, and Cold Storage.

Not listed in the article are some other Pie companies in the area  (I've taken the liberty of asking them if they've got stuff going on for Pi Day.  I will let you know when I find out! (Hopefully before tomorrow!)
Some delicious pi day stuff from Magnolia Bakery.

BANG BANG PIE:  Asked them if they have something via tweet.  Waiting for response.
HOOSIER MAMA PIE COMPANY: Asked them if they have something via tweet.  Waiting for response.
FIRST SLICE:  Buy One, Get One Pie Slices, according to their Facebook Page
PLEASANT HOUSE BAKERY:  Asked them if they have something via tweet.  Waiting for response.
A BAKER'S TALE: Asked them if they have something via  facebook.  Waiting for response.

So on 3/14 I encourage you to eat as much  as you want.  It's for math.
The official Tau Day shirt.

And for those that are more mathematically inclined. 2*  = tau  (τ), which many would argue is the more important mathematical irrational transcendent constant. (And much less known than π)
All that to say is that Tau day is 6/28.  And by the transformative power of pi, there should be TWICE as many specials on that day!  And it will be twice as delicious!

Find out more about Tau Day and start preparing now!  http://www.tauday.com

And if you know about other Pi Day specials, especially in the Chicago area, please let me know in the comments!
