Ahhh Ha! - Aerial Physical Theatre at the New Victory

Do Jump!  Photography Jeffrey Freeman
Portland based Do Jump! is at the New Victory starting tomorrow.  They have a very family friendly show called Ahhh Ha!  The show will be here for the next two weeks, and will culminate in a special gala performance as a benefit for the New Victory Education Corps on April 15.

The show is approximately 75 minutes long (no intermission) and features a combination of aerial dance, circus arts, illusion and live music.  The music is provided by Klezmocracy, an eclectic group of professional musicians who cook up an Afro-Hebrew musical stew seasoned with Latin, Jazz, Cabaret, Rock and Klezmer. Some of the show acts include: bungee, tap dancing, some black light illusion, acrobatic handtrucks, a giant white dog, and some amazing inverted archery.

The New Victory, who I have waxed poetic about many times previously, recommends the show for ages 4 and up.  Personally, I would have brought my kid whenever, as he loves this kind of stuff!
